William So is the grandson of a great lawyer, Chan Mung Kut, in the city of Guangzhou. He is good for nothing and very playful. William does not live up to his family's name and seemingly destroys the family's reputation. One day Flora Chan seeks William to represent her husband for murder. Of course, William loses the case causing hatred between Flora and him. William leaves for Hong Kong to work in a firm and Flora ends up there also looking for a job. Surprise, surprise. The two end up working together to solve cases.
William So did an okay job in this series. Maybe because of the overdone script. His character had many flaws and Flora really had none. You will love Flora and probably will never like William. If not for William's sidekicks, he would not have solved any cases or even care to solve them. The positive thing about this series is Flora's portrayal. Being a good fan of hers, it is hard to not like this character. She should be the leader of the group and not William.
The script was poorly written if compared to a comedy or crime investigation series. Comedy-wise is fell short. I found the jokes rather not funny. Maybe a half smile or two through out the entire series. If compared to a crime investigation series, it greatly fell short. The cases were simple and quite quick. A no brainer type of case. Most definitely this series lacks in every aspect to be a comedy or crime investigation series. What can it be? I don't know. Maybe a little of both with dramatic emphasis? Nope cause where is all the drama? Lighthearted type? Nope.
If you are into comedy watch "Eternal Happiness." If you are into crime investigation series, watch "Detective Investigation Files IV." Both of these series are well worth your money. This series, however, is a waste of money in general. Not good and not horribly bad. Maybe almost average or so.
